Our community has a rich background in historical landmarks. Antebellum homes, restored depots, and historical graves dating back to the 1870s can be found in Mitchell County. We offer a tour, the Gilded Age, to showcase our history. Pelham, GA, located in Mitchell County, is the home to the first shopping center in the South, known as the Hand Trading Company.
