State Court Judge
The mission of the State Court of Mitchell County is to serve the citizens of Mitchell County and members of the Bar by providing the highest quality of justice in a courteous, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The State Court seeks to accurately and timely file, process, index, and schedule litigation falling within its jurisdiction and to administer the Court in a professional manner, knowing we are conducting the public’s business.
The State Court operates under the laws of the State of Georgia to try all criminal cases below the grade of felony. The Mitchell State Court also has a special treatment court division for criminal defendants who have mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
